Popis: | Digital age literacy is one of the main constructs in 21st century skills. The 21st century skills are the skills required by the workforce to be competitive and sustainable in this globalized digital network. Education sector should prepare the students to acquire these important skills apart from just imparting knowledge. This study was carried out to measure the proficiency level of digital age literacy among science preparatory course students. It also examined the relationship between gender and previous school location to digital age literacy. 240 students participated in this survey method study. The findings demonstrated that the proficiency level of digital age literacy was high. The proficiency levels of all subconstructs in digital age literacy were also high except for economy literacy which showed medium. Meanwhile, all items in ICT literacy were also at a high proficiency level. However, no significant differences between gender and previous school location on the both digital age literacy and ICT literacy proficiency levels. |
