The chapter presents, in summary form, Open Dialogue psychotherapy and systems fidelity assessment guides, along with two companion measures, a fidelity adherence scale and a rating manual. These research products have already proven promising in furthering new and creative pathways for Open Dialogue research and training worldwide. The Key Elements of Dialogic Practice in Open Dialogue Fidelity Criteria identifies both the structural components and conversational actions of the therapist requisite to foster dialogical-network interaction. Rating scales have been developed to record the degree of adherence to these components. Research is ongoing to further test and refine the instruments, which will be invaluable in clarifying whether the practice in Western Lapland can be applied elsewhere in the world with similarly successful outcomes. |
