Popis: | Lithium thionyl chloride cells were optimized with respect to electrolyte and carbon cathode composition. Wound ‘C-size’ cells with various mixtures of Chevron acetylene black with Ketjenblack EC-300J and containing various concentrations of LiAlCl 4 and derivatives, LiGaCl 4 , and mixtures of SOCl 2 and SO 2 Cl 2 were evaluated as a function of discharge rate, temperature, and storage condition. |
