Vocational and technical education provides students with the necessary skills to prepare them for the workforce and to be lifelong learners. One approach to ensuring that students develop these skills is the utilization of educational technologies in their respective learning environments. In this chapter, we reviewed studies from the last 5 years that explored the role of educational technologies in vocational and technical education and examined how those technologies helped to develop and enhance the teaching and learning of those essential skills. Our review of the research highlighted the need for more research to be done in this area as well as ideas for future studies. |
