Popis:	From Caralluma umbellata, two new pregnane glycosides, named carumbelloside I and II, were isolated and their structures and stereochemistry were elucidated by a combination of NMR techniques as 3-O-β- d -glucopyranosyl-(1→6)-β- d -glucopyranosyl-3β,14β-dihydroxypregn-5-en-20-one and 3-O-β- d -glucopyranosyl-3β,14β-dihydroxypregn-5-en-20-one. The ambiguous assignments were resolved through molecular modelling comparisons.
