Popis: | Buddleia, Buddleja davidii, is a fast-growing woody weed in New Zealand. The buddleia leaf weevil Cleopus japonicus was released in 2006 as a classical biological control agent for buddleia and is now established in the North Island. The laboratory rearing method developed and a morphological method of sexing the adults of this external leaf-feeding weevil are described. |
