| Popis: | Congenital infections by the herpes virus show high prevalence or are responsible for high morbidity and mortality in newborns. In this review, the herpes virus simplex, Varicella zoster virus, and Cytomegalovirus are addressed as infectious agents in pregnant women, fetus, and newborns, and include measures for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission and recommendations for the propaedeutics and therapy of both mother and child. |
