Popis: | In this review, investigations on the product of hydration, mechanical behavior, durability and application of basic magnesium sulfate cement (BMS) have been carried out in the past seven years in China. Structural characterization of 5·1·7 phase and hydration product of BMS are introduced in the first part of this paper. The second part gives the research on the basic properties of BMS: strength, setting time, and microstructure of BMS. The third part show the durability of the cement: water resistance, chloride penetration, ability of protecting reinforcing bars and carbonization. The last part is devoted to the production and application of BMS, which indicates that basic magnesium sulfate cement has wide application potential in the construction industry. |
