Popis: | Prenatal and Birth Histories ### Presentation On delivery, a significant amount of exposed tissue is noted on the parietal-occipital scalp of the neonate (Fig 1). A significant amount of blood emerges from the tissue, which soaks the blankets in the delivery room. The neonate’s Apgar scores are 4, 5, and 7 at 1, 5, and 10 minutes, respectively. The lesion is covered with saline-soaked gauze and wrapped in a bandage roll. The infant is then transported to the referring hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for further management.
