Popis: Esophageal submucosal nodules are not an uncommon finding at endoscopy. Most of these nodules are found incidentally on endoscopy or imaging. We present the case of a 63-year-old woman who was referred to our practice to evaluate dysphagia. An 8 mm submucosal nodule was found close to the gastroesophageal junction. The differential diagnosis for the esophageal nodule in this case included leiomyoma, lipoma, granular cell tumor, duplication cyst and stromal tumor, and malignancy including submucosal metastasis and lymphoma. A pathology that has not been reported previously is presented. Histopathological examination was consistent with a diagnosis of hemangiolymphangioma.
