Popis:	Statistics that emerged last summer again indicated dwindling interest amongst the young in engineering and science subjects. The number of candidates for technical A-levels in the UK showed a sharper decline than even the pessimists expected. The good news is that performance was up on expectations, narrowing the fall in numbers with passes.
