Coal Water Slurry Flow in Pipelines Using Homogeneous Equilibrium Model

Popis: This work is focused on the computational analysis of coal water slurry (CWS) flow in pipelines, mostly encountered in power plant sectors. Homogeneous equilibrium model has been adopted for two phase flow analysis for this slurry flow presented in this paper. The best bimodal mix having a coal concentration in the range of 58–70% by weight has been considered in the numerical simulation. Different diameters of the tube, velocity in pipelines are varied as well to obtain pressure drop. Velocity contours are obtained and analyzed for the mention parameters variation.
