Popis:	CONTINUOUS measurement of body temperature in unrestrained animals has been difficult to achieve because of problems associated with keeping a sensing probe attached. A technique has been developed using silastic foam to secure a probe in the ear canal adjacent to the tympanic membrane of cattle. The technique has been used successfully on over 100 cows for periods up to 10 days.
