Popis: The paper considers the polymer analogues of the widely known crown ethers, cryptands and cyclodextrins. It presents various ways of synthesizing such macromolecular macrocyclic compounds. It discusses the interaction of the polymer crown ethers, cryptands (including ionites) and their open-chain analogues-polypodands with cations, inorganic and organic anions and neutral molecules. It analyses polycomplexes with the participation of polymer crown ethers and podands. It takes a brief look at the problems of the practical application of macromolecular macrocyclic compounds and their open-chain analogues.
