Comparative study of the lasing properties of self-Raman capable Nd3+ doped tungstates and molybdates under diode pumping

Popis: The spectroscopic properties of tungstate (MeWO 4 Me = Ba, Sr, Pb) and molybdate (MeMoO 4 ME = Sr, Pb) self-Raman capable crystals doped with neodymium ions were investigated. The oscillation properties of the most promising crystals under unpolarized laser diode (LD) pumping were investigated. For molybdate crystals oscillation properties under polarized LD pump were investigated in the free-running and Q-switched mode and compared to those for well-known vanadate crystals doped with Nd 3+ ions.
