Popis: | Data on the history of preparation of 5,5-dimethylhydantoin—a compound with nitrogen-containing cycles—as a monomer for preparation of oligomers and epoxy polymers have been reported. The possibility and conditions for preparation of oligomers containing dimethylhydantoin (DMHD) fragments has been considered, and their characteristics have been presented. Epoxy polymers have been prepared during hardening of hydantoin-containing oligomers by anhydride and ammine hardeners. Indicators of cohesive and adhesive strength of such polymers, their heat resistance, and water absorption have been determined. One variant of application of the obtained polymers—impregnating a structure for concrete coverings—has been discussed. |
