Popis: Biology of pulse beetle Callosobruchus chinensis (L.) when compared on three commonly cultivated pulses viz., chickpea, cowpea and black gram revealed significant variations. Life cycle was the shortest on chickpea (31.20 days) followed by cowpea (32.85) and black gram (34.81) during first generation. Similarly, in the second generation it was 26.43, 28.90 and 31.81 days, respectively.
