Magnetic Imaging System Based on HMC5883L Sensor Array

Popis: To detect magnetic objects, we developed a real-time magnetic imaging system using an array of magnetic sensors. We arrange the magnetic sensor array that consists of 16 HMC5883L sensors in the scanning area with $4\text{x}4$ configuration and the distance between the sensor 6 cm. Reconstruction of magnetic field images from magnetic objects has been done using bi-cubic interpolation technique. We did some experiments on this imaging system, such as experiment using one object, experiment using multiple objects and also the different position of the magnetic object experiment. For the experiment, we used the magnetic object like small staples, large staples, paper clips, bolt, and nail. The experiment results show that the system can detect the magnetic field from the magnetic object and generate an image from them. Furthermore, this system also can detect position changes of the magnetic object either close or away to the sensor. Index Terms-magnetic field imaging; sensor array; magnetic sensor; HMC5883L sensor
