Power Sharing between Solar Home Systems by Smart Control of Power Flow

Popis: This paper outlines the design and implementation of a peer-to-peer solar electricity trading platform for off-grid solar home system architecture. The system consists of a DC-DC controller block with three separate boost converters for the self-load, self-battery and DC grid line respectively, and a microcontroller was used for controlling power flow in the suitable direction. The proposed model overcomes the limitations of the existing power sharing topologies in regards to low voltage, high losses and short distance transmission etc. Simulation are done in Proteus design suite and the results are presented. The microcontroller based grid level DC energy sharing system will enable the users not only share energy within the local solar home systems, but also with other remote systems through the DC grid line interface.
