Popis: Duratek Federal Services, Inc., Northwest Operations (DFSNW), formerly Waste Management Federal Services, is located in South-East Washington State near the Hanford Site. Duratek Engineering offers expertise and experience in design, analysis, fabrication, testing and technical support associated with the certification of hazardous materials packaging, particularly for radioactive materials. Duratek Engineering staff manage and perform structural, thermal and nuclear (shielding and criticality) engineering projects, risk assessments, facility safety evaluations, and provide engineering support to all types of waste management projects. The primary purpose of this paper is to outline the capabilities that exist through Duratek for qualification of packaging through the performance of engineering analyses and destructive testing.
