Popis: | In this paper, we introduce an efficient application-aware resource allocation (RA) approach for wireless networks with hybrid traffic. In our model, users are running elastic or inelastic traffic. We use logarithmic and sigmoidal-like utility functions to represent delay tolerant applications and real time applications, respectively, running on the user equipment (UE). Our approach provides an efficient assignment of the spectral resources based on the quality of service (QoS) requirements of users' applications as well as the UEs' channel conditions. We proved that the proposed resource allocation optimization problem is convex and therefore can ensure optimal allocated resources while considering the QoS requirements of the UEs' applications and channels' conditions. |
