The universal (liquid or gas as pressure medium) apparatus for mechanical testing of materials under constant hydrostatic pressure (up to 1.5 GPa) is presented. Main characteristics—load range: 0–20 kN; cross‐head displacement range : 0–30 mm; cross‐head speed range: 0.01–0.15 μm/s. Both tension and compression tests can be performed. The apparatus is equipped with the piezoelectric sensors made out of monocrystalline lithium niobate to enable the in situ registration of the acoustic emission (AE) signals from the tested specimens. The sensors co‐work with the AE signals analyzer GACEK within the frequency range from 50 kHz to 2 MHz and 90 dB dynamic range. The analyzer digitizes AE signals and prepares the energy and amplitude spectra of spectra of AE events. The tests of the apparatus are described. |
