Popis: | Features of agglomeration with various binder contents were investigated using a high-shear mixer granulator. The bimodal size distribution of product was successfully expressed by a weighted sum of two log-normal distributions. The two peaks were seemingly caused by different agglomeration mechanisms, i. e., the layering of particles which is a prevailing mechanism at low binder content, and the secondary agglomeration of agglomerates which becomes dominant with increasing binder content. |
