The aim of this article is to study the individual verbal means of creating poetic messages in the poems by Boris Slutskiy, the themes and problems of which are associated with the reflection on the various manifestations of the notion of «freedom» in human life. As poetry is the sphere of special functioning of units of national language, grammatical units fulfill their expressive potential to a maximum degree in the conditions of a poetic text. The study is based on the method proposed by O.Skorobohatova according to which there are three ways of actualisation of grammatical meanings in the poetic texts: juxtaposition, attraction and selection. A survey was made of 40 pieces of poetry, in which the key word «freedom» is present. Poetic reflections on freedom are verbalized in the poems of Boris Slutskiy by comparing the notion of «freedom» with other notions of reality (through comparisons and contrasts), as well as combining it in nominative rows with other notions. It was found that the main method of actualization of grammatical meanings in the selected poems is juxtaposition, as well as cases of selection of grammatical units are presented. |
