Popis: The purpose of this work is to study the dissolution behavior of chlorfenapyr in different solvents, and to screen out the solvents in which chlorfenapyr is purified by crystallization. In this work, the solubility of chlorfenapyr in five mono-solvents (methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, cyclohexane and ethyl acetate) and two mixed solvents (ethanol + ethyl acetate and isopropanol + ethyl acetate) was determined by gravimetric method at temperature between 288.15K and 328.15K. The results show that the solubility of chlorfenapyr in all the organic solvents increases with increasing of temperature, and ethyl acetate and cyclohexane are suitable for crystallization of chlorfenapyr. The experimental data were correlated with modified Apelblat equation, λh equation, van't Hoff equation, CNIBS/R-K model, Jouyban-Acree model and local composition model. The correlation results were in good agreement with the experimental results, and the modified Apelblat equation showed the best correlation effect. In addition, van't Hoff equation was used to calculate all thermodynamic parameters of dissolution, including enthalpy of dissolution, entropy of dissolution and Gibbs free energy. The results showed that the dissolution processes were endothermic, entropy-driven and non-spontaneous.
