Popis: This work focuses on the meanings and features of the state category words in Russian and their equivalents in Persian. The problem is that Persian-speaking students who learn the Russian language in Iranian universities cannot always distinguish between words of the category of state, adverbs and short adjectives due to their semantic similarity in translation. The paper shows their part-of-speech features, and that one-member impersonal-predicative sentences are translated into Persian by both impersonal and personal sentences. Adjectives, the so-called (mosnad) in Persian grammar, as well as words like ( bayad, nabayad, mišavad, mitavan ) in the meaning of can / can not , in most cases are equivalent to words of the state category in Russian.
