Software engineering and software quality management became necessary in the POPINDA project. One reason for this was the integration of de-centrally developed software from the partners DASA-DA-Bremen and DASA-MBB-Manching into the centrally maintained and developed DLR program package FLOWer. Guidelines enabling the flexible further development of the FLOWer code as well as mandatory procedures for the integration of software extensions have been initiated in cooperation with the DLR Quality Control department. In particular, guidelines and procedures for configuration management, detailed standards for coding, design, documentation and testing as well as procedures to report software errors or request software changes have been established. They are further developed within the BMBF-project MEGAFLOW. |
