Crystal growth and melting velocity of spin ordered 3He in 0.2 and 9 T

Popis: We present preliminary results of growth and melting at the interface between spin ordered solid 3 He and superfluid liquid 3 He both in a low magnetic field of 0.2 T and in a high magnetic field of 8.9 T. Measurements of the growth and melting velocity were performed by simultaneously observing the crystal using optical techniques with a low-temperature CCD camera and by using precise pressure measurements. Our results in low magnetic field agree qualitatively with those of Nomura et al. (J. Low Temp. Phys. 95 (1994) 715).
