Popis: Data mining is the analysis step of the “Knowledge Discovery in Databases” process, or data mining s the process that attempts to discover patterns in large data sets. The overall goal of the data mining process is to extract information from a data set and transform it into an understandable structure for further use. We are deluged by data scientific data, medical data, demographic data, financial data, and marketing data. People have no time to look at this data. Human attention has become a precious resource. So, we must find ways to automatically analyze the data, to automatically classify it, to automatically summarize it. This is very efficient and consistence way of classifying data as per the required, to automatically discover and characterize trends in it, and to automatically flag anomalies. This is one of the most active and exciting areas of the database. This seminar report includes the introduction to some of the Hierarchical Data Mining Algorithms. The implementation and comparison of these algorithms will be carried out during project.
