Popis: 1. 1. In Lymnaea stagnalis a strong and rapid hyperglycaemic response is evoked during anoxia, which is restricted to glucose. This response decreases with increasing length of starvation. 2. 2. In contrast to mechanical stimuli, chemical stimuli (especially the molluscicide CuSO 4 ) are able to induce hyperglycaemia as well. 3. 3. The physiological significance of hyperglycaemia and its hormonal control are discussed.
