Popis: | The territory is defined by its mode of organization and how the constituent actors coordinate within it. Thus, in the context of the government retreat and subsidiarity, territorial engineering (TE), often associated with monitoring or controlling information, is invoked as the government slides towards governance. It is built on the principles of synchronized collective action, shared information systems, and transversal partnerships amongst local actors that collaborate in networks that foster synergy. Our review of the literature aims to demonstrate that the capacity of actors to develop and manage territorial projects is highly dependent on the amount of ingenuity they can mobilize. Therefore, this work highlights the importance of information systems that provide relevant and usable data for effective local public action.
