Popis: | A control method has been developed that uses exhaust manifold pressure measurements to regulate the turbine nozzle vane position on a turbocharged diesel engine with variable-geometry turbocharger during transient operation. Significant reductions in exhaust manifold pressures are achieved without degrading the turbocharger response and, overall, engine behaviour is improved through more rapid torque delivery, lower transient smoke and improved aircharge stability immediately after the transient. |
