Popis: | A deadly type of bacteremic shock which often occurs without volume or cardiac deficits is marked by elevated arterial blood lactate, decreased oxygen consumption, and decreased arteriovenous oxygen difference. Cellular damage or arteriovenous shunting appears to be the reason for failure of oxygen utilization. Pulmonary edema is common and may be due to increased capillary permeability. |
