Popis: | Medical chemistry is a field of organic chemistry that finally took shape in the last quarter of the 20th century at the interface of chemistry, biology, and medicine. The object of medical chemistry is the search for and synthesis of physiologically active substances, the identification of interrelations between the chemical structure and physiological activity, and the creation of structures with target properties on the basis of the knowledge obtained. In recent years, global medical chemistry has been developing rapidly, which is indicated by the great number of new scientific journals dedicated to these topics. This article discusses the results of medical chemistry research at the institutes of the RAS Siberian Branch, including both completed and perspective developments. |
