The present paper discusses the relation between patients' erectile dysfunction after a minimally invasive radical nerve-sparing prostatectomy with an increased risk of a positive surgical margin during surgery. Identification of various complications in the postoperative period, along with erectile dysfunction, indicates the need to improve surgical techniques and develop methods for preoperative planning for minimally invasive radical nerve-sparing prostatectomy. The paper proposes a structure of a software complex for planning and simulating robot-assisted radical nerve-sparing prostatectomy. The software complex includes algorithmic tools for generating three-dimensional models of patients based on computer and magnetic resonance imaging with the use of adaptive deformable models with statistical restriction of deformation. This also includes means of simulating minimally invasive surgical influences by using the software for physical modeling. |
