The selective emitter cell architecture has been used very effectively on mono-crystalline silicon wafers to improve the efficiency through reduced front surface recombination. We have previously described a process developed at Innovalight to implement this cell architecture on CZ wafers using Innovalight Silicon Ink in a cost effective process known as the Innovalight™ Cougar™ Platform. In this paper we present results on the application of the Silicon Ink based selective emitter structure on multi-crystalline wafers, the Innovalight Puma™ Platform.
