Popis: | In the early nineties, the emergence in Congo-Kinshasa of a so-called free press gave hope to a stable democracy. This article examines the evolution of this press, its rhetoric the ambiguity of freedom of expression in a social and political context full of contradictions. The idea of the press as a driving force for the establishment of a new democratic order is overshadowed by a rhetoric appallingly centered around the degenerated myths and collective wills. This medium, caught between the dynamics of passion and reason, opinions and factual analysis, easy expression and rigourous ethics are cause for concern, in the strengthening of the the civil society of this country that has just emerged from dictatorship. |
