Popis: | 1 here are certain inherent characteristics of the writing and publishing morass about which educators seem to be unaware.' The paucity of specific data about on-going sltuaations and research reported in education journals most available to teachers, administrators, supervisors, and those in preparation for the education profession leaves educators asking what concrete information is there on which we can depend. This article reveals some human and academic aspects of writ ing and publishing that dominate the education field. Evidence is presented here to show that most of the articles published in education journals are limited to the views and opinions of the various writers, a majority of the articles are broad in scope and general in nature, and the largest portion of education literature is written by university or college persons. With the assumption that educators are strongly influenced by journal literature, the writers express specific concerns and suggest approaches to dealing with this situation. |
