Popis: Summary This analysis frames the global demand for subsea infrastructure up to 2030, providing a narrative of the demand for pre-construction geophysics to understand the seafloor and shallow subsurface. A total of over 10,000 new turbines are likely to be positioned between 2021 and 2030, doubling the 2021 annual installation rate by the second half of the decade. The total predicted subsea cable infrastructure to be positioned between 2021–2030 is expected to be 93,000km; an increase of more than double the total installed capacity at the end of 2020. The requirement for thorough pre- construction geophysical understanding of the seafloor and shallow subsurface is therefore comparably significant.
