Popis:	The mass spectra of some trimethylsilyl ethers of di- and trisaccharides show that the sequence of monosaccharide units, the position of glycoside bonds and other details of structure can be elucidated by this method. Mass spectrometry is insensitive to the stereochemistry of oligosaccharides. The fragmentation patterns of the compounds investigated have been discussed.
