This session will explore the decisions and steps taken to ensure fairness and accessibility when designing a suite of multimedia item banked assessments. The tests have been used across the Civil Service since 2017 and by December 2019, there have been over half a million test instances, with the test used in thousands of vacancies.This article focuses on the decisions made across the design process, as well as the steps taken to update and redevelop the test to ensure it is fair, robust and accessible to the widest range of candidates possible. |
