Popis: | A mean‐field Ohm’s law is used to determine the effects of the bootstrap current on quasihelically symmetric stellarator equilibria. The Ohm’s law leads to the conclusion that the effects of the bootstrap current break the quasihelical stellarator symmetry at second order in an inverse aspect ratio expansion of the magnetic field strength. The level of symmetry breaking suggests that good approximations to quasihelical stellarator fusion reactors may not be attainable. |
