Research on Cueing Search Strategy of Active and Passive Sensors

Popis: The active and passive sensors are widely applied in military field now, although having both advantages and disadvantages, they can compensate each other. The paper have researched on cueing search strategy of AESA (Active Electronic Scanning Array) and ESM(Electric Support Measure). Firstly, a kind of method to calculate the success probability of ESM Cueing AESA to search is provided. Secondly, the paper have analyzed the relationship between aspect angle and beam residence time. Thirdly, according to the dynamic update probability model and based on the idea that radar should detect where targets are more probable to exist more, a new search strategy is provided. Finally, based on the results of one thousand simulations, through comparing the probability of the target being captured by radar and the average number of beam positions have been detected with the traditional strategy, it can be concluded that the strategy provided by the paper is more effective to capture the target and the less time is needed.
