Popis:	The article deals with questions of using pumped-storage hydroelectric power plants in electrical power system. Maneuverable reserve of Russian electrical power system is exhausted; therefore further development is able only with the presence of storage plants in the system which will allow getting additional volume of electricity with existent generative power stations. However, low return of investment slows down construction of storage plants. PSP exert a powerful economic effect on system which is undervalued. Therefore for ensuring a return on investment it is necessary to revise system of economic relations within industry when using system utilities.
