Popis: Renal osteodystrophy is a common complication in chronic renal failure (CRT). A successful kidney transplantation alleviates most of the complications of the disease. However, the influence of kidney transplantation on the status of bone is not clear. In this study, the bone mineral status in such patients was evaluated by applying two techniques: Quantitative Computed Tomography (QCT) for assessing spinal trabecular bone density, and Partial Body Neutron Activation Analysis (PBNAA) for measuring the phosphorus content of the hands.
