Exact finite-range analysis ofC12(He3, n)O14reaction

Popis: | The (/sup 3/He,n) reaction on /sup 12/C has been used to study the low lying states of /sup 14/O in the energy range 12 MeV < E < 24 MeV. The experimental angular distributions have been analyzed by the exact finite range as well as zero range distorted-wave Born-approximation theory. Spectroscopic amplitudes were obtained from the shell model calculations of True on the mass 14 systems. It is found that the exact finite-range distorted-wave Born approximation theory gives reasonable to good fits to the experimental angular distributions as well to relative strengths. However, the normalization factor is too small by about 20. |
