Popis: FT-IR and FT-Raman spectroscopy have been applied to elucidate the morphology and structure of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) processed with supercritical CO2 (scCO2). Infrared and Raman spectra of PET samples show an increased degree of crystallinity after being subjected to scCO2. FT-Raman spectroscopy has also been utilized to study the supercritical dyeing of PET samples with azo dyes. These results may aid optimization of `solvent-free' processes for advanced processing of packaging materials and supercritical fluid dyeing of textiles.
