Conflict resolution curve derived from an analytical model, is a path to peace building. Previously this model was applied to a problem of micro level conflict giving satisfactory results. In the present study, this model has been empirically tested to resolve inter-state conflict. Application shows that the interest of the ruler rather than the interest of the nation plays the decisive role to predict styles of conflict in Korean peninsula. Results of the model also indicate how the present crisis might be solved towards peace building. The ongoing negotiation process in North Korea might verify how far this model is applicable in reality. |
