Popis: The capabilities of diffuse reflectance FTIR spectroscopy (DRIFT) are presented to solve various problems of molecular sieve research. For SAPO-34/AIPO4-18 the results of in-situ investigations of template decomposition and hydration/dehydration processes discussed in connection with those of MAS NMR studies. If samples diluted in KBr are used, spectra of adsorbed or encaged species and framework vibrations are observed simultaneously. The overtone and combination tone bands of the lattice vibrations of undiluted ZSM-5 can be used for detecting the phase transformation caused by thermal treatment.
