Popis: The quality of tapered thread, especially those which are used in oil and gas pipes, largely determines the productivity of extraction and drilling, as well as their environmental friendliness. Mostly their quality depends on the values of the geometric parameters of turning cutters, because they are the main tool for making tapered thread. The rake angle is very important among these parameters. Modern manufacturers due to the lack of algorithms for calculating the accuracy of the tools profile do not apply lathe tool cutters with a non-zero value of this angle. This very limits the possibility of manufacturing of oil and gas pipes of high-strength materials. The functional dependencies obtained in the article give an opportunity to calculate the kinematic rake angles along the cutting edge of the cutter in the manufacture of tapered triangular threads. The threads can be designed with arbitrary taper, outer diameter, pitch and profile angle. The algorithm allows calculating of the kinematic rake angles, depending on the path of the tool in the radians.
